A New Look For NCL Web! : 10.25.10

New Web Look
©2010 www.nelsoncountylife.com : Over the weekend we've been busy here at NCL making a major upgrade!

Afton
Nelson County, Virginia

After many years, we’ve made a major upgrade to our NCL site. We loved the one we had before, and know many of you did too! But, it was becoming very dated and wouldn’t allow us to update the things. Plus, many of you told us it was hard to navigate, so we have made things much simpler this time around! At the top in the big screen you see the most recent stories, they transition from story to story.

The other big change is on weather. We've moved it all in one block at the bottom, so it's easy to find it all in one spot.

Weather has gone through a big makeover. We’ve moved it all the way to the bottom, by design, so that everything is in one spot! Not to worry. If you are a weather geek, like me, Tommy’s Audio Weather and that page have not moved and has the same familiar feel.

Most everything is working now, but we have lots of fine tuning to do in the coming days, so be patient, we’re getting to them all.

But spend some time looking around, and get the new feel!

More later this week as keep upgrading!

Thanks to John Taylor up on Devils Knob for this nice shot of the sun coming up over the Rockfish Valley on a frosty Saturday morning. A pretty widespread killing frost occurred in the valley while it was mild up in the mountains overnight.

Listen to Tommy’s Audio Weather for more updated details.

Have a great weekend!

“When we opened our doors in October of 2007 we employed just 7 people. (Blue Mountain’s kitchen was once staffed only one man.” Our kitchen now has 8 hard working members,” Mandi Smack, BMB’s co-owner & founder tells NCL.
