Beer Collaboration In Nelson

1
©2011 www.nelsoncountylife.com : Five area breweries came together this past Friday (2.4.11) at Devil's Backbone for a special collaborative brew. Above Aaron Reilly, (brewer Devils Backbone) and Jason Oliver, (head brewmaster, center, Devils Backbone) chat with Danny Wolf (brewmaster) at Wild Wolf Brewing.

Roseland
Nelson County, Virginia

For the second time in less than a year, five area breweries have gotten together to make up a special brew. Each brewer adds their own special touch for what ends up being some fantastic beer! We first told you about the Beer Collaboration last summer when Starr Hill hosted other breweries in Crozet.

©2010-2011 www.nelsoncountylife.com : A shot from last summer's brewing : Jacque Landry, (partner & brewer South Street Brewery) Matt Nucci, (brewer and co-owner Blue Mountain Brewery) Mark Thompson, (owner and brewmaster Starr Hill) Aaron Reilly, (brewer Devils Backbone) and Jason Oliver, (head brewmaster Devils Backbone) stand by one of the two tanks of a collaborative brew made for release at last year's Brew Ridge Trail Music Festival.
At this past Friday's collaboration a new brewer joined in. Danny Wolf from Wild Wolf Brewing in Nellysford was on hand. His brewery is the latest of three established here in Nelson.

Five Different Breweries all have a hand in making the special collaborative brew:

-Blue Mountain Brewery in Afton

-Devils Backbone Brewing in Roseland

-South Street Brewery in Charlottesville

-Starr Hill Brewery in Crozet

Be looking for more info on the special brew in the near future!
