In what appears to be at least a days old accident scene, crews are in the process of recovering a car and a body near milepost 24 along the Blue Ridge Parkway. That’s in far Southwestern Nelson County.
After contacting Wintergreen Fire & Rescue Chief Curtis, he confirmed their rope team is working with the National Park Service in the recovery. The car was reported to be at least a couple hundred feet over the parkway.
