(Note: We have word another fatal crash occurred Sunday night or very early Monday morning 3.20.23 here in Nelson, we are awaiting more information. Below is additional information from last week’s fatal accident on 151.)
“At 12:34 a.m. on Thursday (March 16), Virginia State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Route 151 north of Chapel Hollow Rd.
A 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix was traveling north on Route 151 when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
The driver, Julian W. Warner, 19, of Faber, Va., was transported for treatment of serious injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt.
A passenger, Christopher G. Davis, 27, of Afton, Va., died at the scene. He was wearing a seatbelt.
Excessive speed and alcohol are being investigated as a contributing factor in the crash. Charges are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
