Central Virginia Blue Ridge
If you were out Thursday afternoon, particularly south of Brents Gap in Southern Nelson County, you saw thick white smoke in the air. Some folks though a large fire had broken out across the area. That’s not totally wrong, but these fires were planned by the US Forest Service as part of an operation to help maintain the forests across the area.
