©™2012 Nelson County Life : Photo By Stuart Smith : A muddy but very happy (L to R) Alley Wulin, Juliet McConkey, Fiona Thatcher, Ramona Bryant, and Frannie Grace Stadlin of the NCHS Lady Govs Cross Country team after finishing 1st in their division this past weekend in Salem, VA at the Marine Mud Run Salem, VA Tough Mudder , but don’t tell that to the ones that had to endure it! This past Saturday – September 15, 2012, the Nelson Lady Govs captured the honor of being first in their division at the Marine Mud Run held in Salem, VA. The cross country team participated in the run that benefited Toys for Tots. It consisted of a respectable 5K course that including a run up the Roanoke River and ending with a muddy splash across a pond roughly 200 feet in length!
