Though rain and fog moved in for the second half of the weekend, Saturday was perfect for the first weekend of the season at Wintergreen Resort. The snow making conditions have been excellent over the past couple of weeks, and, very cold weather headed our way in the coming week means ideal conditions once again to make more snow. NCL Mountain Photographer, Paul Purpura, got on the skis and grabbed a few shots as people hit the slopes for the first weekend of opening season.

Paul, who is also an instructor at Wintergreen, teaches this sort of course as well.
Looks like the season is off to a fantastic start with more perfect skiing weather on the way!
