One week turned into three, but Tim Gorman officially cut (or in this case, pulled the ribbon into) to officially mark the opening of Sk8 Nelson’s 1st phase of a skatepark on the grounds of The Rockfish Valley Community Center. The majority of the park was funded by private donations. We first told you about the construction underway a few weeks ago.
Tim tells us for every 50 dollar donation toward Phase II, the donor will receive a chance for in a ticket raffle to the upcoming U2 Concert in Charlottesville @ JPJ on October1st.
Congrats to everyone on a fantastic project and opening day!
Nice work! I can’t wait to skate it!
Congratulations, Tim! This is quite an accomplishment. What a great thing for all the kids. Nelson County is lucky to have you.
Thanks, Tim (and others) for enhancing the community with something awesome.
