In a moment that brought tears to many of the people standing by, balloons were released Friday afternoon at the annual (TWNF) The Wintergreen Nature Foundation Golf Tourney, now known as The Sara Ott Memorial Golf Classic. It was a tradition started this year inspired by Sara’s grandchildren after her death.

Sara Ott passed away earlier this year leaving behind her husband, Frank along with her grown children, and grandchildren. Sara and Frank have been the coordinators of the annual golf classic each year that’s the single biggest fundraiser for TWNF.
