Danielle Purpura heads off to college
Nellysford, Virginia
Say it ain’t so! The spunky red head wearing those roach stompin cowboy boots below is none other than Danielle Purpura. Yep, she’s the daughter of Paul Purpura. You see his photography here and in the magazine often.
Danielle’s last day in Nelson is today and her last day was Sunday at Basic Necessities. She’s off to the University of Mary Washington for the next four years. Though we’ll see her from time to time over the holidays, the cowboy boot wearing fixture we’re accustomed to seeing at Basic Necessities on the weekends is gone.
Above, Mae Collins of Basic Necessities, who is not leaving, gives Danielle a good-bye hug on Sunday.
Danielle joins Kelsey Vergin who’s already left Basic for college in North Carolina and Crystal Diehl, who’s on her way back to school for her final year.
We wish them all the best over the coming year away at school. You’ll be missed back in Nellysford!
