“Virginia State Police is investigating a small plane crash that occurred this morning (April 26, 2025) at approximately 10:45 a.m. in a field near Weyers Cave Road in Augusta County.
A small plane, with two people on board, lost power shortly after taking off from Shenandoah Regional Airport.
The plane was able to crash land in a nearby field. It did strike a fence before coming to a stop.
Neither of the two occupants were injured.
The FAA has been notified.
