It wasn’t quite the storm expected, but some folks still saw a respectable amount of snow by mid-morning Sunday. The more impressive amounts were north and east of Brents Gap in Nelson toward Afton and then east from there into Albemarle and points beyond.

Generally amounts across the area were 1/2″ to 4-5″ as you moved northeast into counties like Warren and beyond.

Oddly, by Sunday afternoon we should see sunshine. There’s a hint at another shot at significant winter weather for the second half of the week. Unfortunately it could include significant icing.

More as that develops.
