Monday’s snow proved dangerous not only for motorists, but also for this red-tailed hawk. VSP Trooper T.A. Hackenbracht and Trooper J.R. Harris (pictured above) discovered the hawk at a crash site in Nelson County, Virginia after it had been struck by a vehicle.
The hawk was dazed and injured in the crash…so the troopers were able to safely approach it and transport the impressive bird of prey to the Wildlife Center of Virginia in Waynesboro.
