The Flash Flood Watch for portions of western Maryland…Virginia
and northeast West Virginia has been cancelled.

The heavy rain that prompted the watch has moved out of the area.
Another batch of light rain will move across the region overnight
but additional flooding concerns are unlikely

HIGHLAND…GREENE…MADISON…NELSON…PAGE…RAPPAHANNOCK…
ROCKINGHAM…SHENANDOAH…WARREN AND WESTERN HIGHLAND. IN
NORTHEAST WEST VIRGINIA…EASTERN GRANT…EASTERN MINERAL…

OVER ALREADY SATURATED SOIL AND TERRAIN OVER THE POTOMAC
HIGHLANDS…CENTRAL SHENANDOAH VALLEY…AND CENTRAL VIRGINIA
BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAINS AND FOOTHILLS. 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN IS
POSSIBLE FROM THE HEAVIEST ACTIVITY. THIS WOULD EXCEED THE 3
HOUR FLASH FLOOD GUIDANCE FOR THE WATCH AREA.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
