kites runners — BlueRidgeLife™2013: Photos By BRLM Mountain Photographer Paul Purpura -It was a busy weekend with the annual Rockfish Valley Foundation Kite Festival on Sunday and the annual Piney River Mini Triathlon on Saturday.

The weather was picture perfect this past weekend for events across the Blue Ridge. Here in Nelson, where we are based, several event took place. Two of those were annual favorites.
