After weeks and weeks of renovation, Wintergreen Resort unveiled The Market this past Saturday. Formerly, Black Rock Market, operated by a third party for years, The Market is now owned and operated by Wintergreen Resort.
“The Market features a more open floor plan which will create a more comfortable shopping environment, new lighting will brighten the space, and a wide assortment of improvements and new products will offer something for everyone. Along with the traditional set of items which you’d expect to find in a local grocery store,” said Dana Quillen, VP of Marketing at Wintergreen Resort.

Norm Jenkins, will serve as store manager. Jenkins is familiar to many in the region as owner of the Batesville Store, located in Batesville, just 20 minutes from Wintergreen. He will bring a popular staple of that store to The Market at Wintergreen by inviting local artisans to feature their crafts, with the introduction of occasional live musical entertainment as another possibility.
The Market at Wintergreen will be open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. During the winter season, the store will open a half-hour earlier and close at 11 p.m
