Lots Of Events This Past Weekend Across Nelson County

Near Nellysford
Talk about a busy weekend! Whew! We had photographers all over the place, including one in Pennsylvania. (more on that in another story) April 9th had to be one of the most event packed days we can ever remember. It first kicked off with two events, The Rockfish Valley Kite Festival near Nellysford, and the annual Piney River Mini Triathlon, in Piney River, of course 🙂 But scroll on down there were tons more with the night ending at Wintergreen. And these are just the ones we could make!

Piney River, VA
Head on down Route 151 toward Piney River and it was the annual Piney River Mini Triathlon. The event has become a hit for all ages year after year! Our Hayley Osborne headed down there to grab some shots of this year’s event!

Faber, VA
Head east to Faber and it was opening day for the season at Cove Creek Park. NCL’s East Nelson Photographer, Victoria Mininger, headed over to grab a few shots of the softball action.

Talk about changing gears! After Victoria finished up at Cove Creek, than night she headed to Lovingston for the annual Womanless Beauty Pageant. It’s all to help raise money for this year’s Relay For Life.

Wintergreen Resort, VA
Finally the evening capped off with a cruise. Yep! Wintergreen Performing Arts held its Postcards From The Mediterranean this past Saturday night at the Skyline Pavilion at Wintergreen Resort. NCL Photographer, Hayley Osborne, headed up there since our NCL Mountain Photographer, Paul Purpura was away shooting in Pennsylvania.

As with any cruise, it was a night of dancing along with a live auction to raise money for WPA.

Wintergreen Performing Arts will kick off its Summer Music Festival this year July 6-August 7, 2011. With lots more events preceding that. Click here to learn more from WPA!

Ok, I am tired just from putting all of this up! Thanks to all of the photographers who stepped in this weekend. It was a great one!
