Nelson County Sheriff David Brooks confirms to NCL that a serious accident causing the closure of Route 29 North near the Nelson/Albemarle County Line is underway. A medical helicopter has arrived on the scene as well. Though not yet confirmed, the injuries are thought to be very serious. It is believed there is at least one fatality in the wreck with others sent to the hospital.
