Update 10.22.10 – The Java Depot and Deli opened for business on Thursday 10.21.10. So drop on by and see them.

Original post from 10.15.10
For weeks the mystery of who will be reopening Java Depot has been a well kept secret. No longer! Edith Fisher of Nelson County recently purchased the restaurant located at the intersection of 664 & 151 across the lot from Devils Backbone Brewing. We caught up with Edith late Friday as Boar’s Head was delivering a new deli case.

Edith tells us that her emphasis will be on serving local customers, but also certainly the many thousands of visitors to Nelson each year.

Java Depot was the most recent operation opening in the old Arrington Depot back in June of 2009. They closed a little over a year later in July 2010.

The historic depot originally opened as Sparrow’s Restaurant back in May of 2008.

We’ll have much more about Edith and her opening in our November 2010 printed issue out in about 10 days, be watching!

Amy Winter is sooooooo very happy about this! 🙂 At least we think so!
