The strength of custom microbreweries continues to grow and Nelson’s first brewery, Blue Mountain.(opening back in 2007) got some recent notoriety in a television story on NBC-29 in Charlottesville. The story talks about, in spite of a sluggish economy, BMB continues to see a steady rise in sales. According to the NBC-29 story:
“Blue Mountain is now producing 2,400 barrels a year. That’s the equivalent of 5,000 kegs worth of beer.”
