Wintergreen Performing Arts presents its 5th Annual Blue Ridge Mountain Music Fest at the Evans Center, Wintergreen Resort. The 2010 program features Junior Sisk and Rambler’s Choice, a group that is rapidly being recognized as one of America’s finest traditional bluegrass bands. Also appearing will be The Steel Wheels. This group features acoustic music ranging from old time, country folk, infused with elements of gospel, blues, and rock and roll. From the far southwest of Virginia comes the family-based old time group the Whitetop Mountain Band. The day’s performances will conclude with the Appalachian string band music of Kim and Jimbo Cary and Pete and Ellen Vigour. There will also be jamming all day. The music begins at noon and ends at 7:00pm.Refreshments will be available throughout the day. Tickets will not be sold in advance; they will be available at the Evans Center Box Office on the day of the event. Noon-7 pm. Ticket Price: Adults $20.
