Nelson County Sheriff, David Brooks, tells NCL that a tractor trailer loaded with paper has caught fire and is burning at that location. The incident is right at the Nelson-Amherst County Line on Route 29 Southbound.
NCL has received numerous calls over the past hour regarding a backup of traffic near the intersection of Route 151 and 29 South near the Nelson-Amherst County Line.
The backup is due to some type of truck fire which is blocking the road (we believe southbound) and traffic is being diverted.
