Nelson County, Virginia
For the first time in weeks Nelson County received just plain old rain Monday. Though the temps weren’t very warm yesterday, the light rain and temps in the lower 40’s made for a continued slow melting of the snow pack. Our Paul Purpura grabbed the beautiful shot above over at Lake Monacan this past Sunday when afternoon temps reached the middle 60’s in the valley.
The remander of the week looks variably cloudy with a chance for a wintry mix on Wednesday and Thursday. Right now this does not look to be a significant winter weather maker.

Thanks Tommy! Spring can’t be far away. I noticed when I left Stoney Creek that the Bradford Pear trees had buds on them.
