PINEY RIVER MINI-TRIATHLON
It’s time for the annual Piney River Mini-Triathlon – Saturday, April 12, 2008 sponsored by Nelson Co. Rec. Dept.

Here are the main details:
Registration: 9:30 – 11:00 AM at the Virginia Blue Ridge Rail Trail Lower Parking Lot off Rose Mill Road.
Start: Same location as registration (above), 11:30 AM
Finish: Virginia Blue Ridge Rail Trail Head on Rt. 151.
Awards Ceremony: 1:15 PM at the trail head.
Awards: for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers.
Run 1.6 miles alongside the beautiful Piney River.
Paddle 1 mile on the Piney’s Class I – II rapids.
Bike 2.5 miles – 3/4 mile up Old Rose Mill Road alongside the Piney River and 1.75 miles up the Blue Ridge Rail Trail.
Classes:
Solo – Youth and Adult, male and female
Teams – All Male, All Female and Coed.
If you prefer not to race just come for the fun or to help out.
