Nelson County Public Schools (VA) will be operating on a 2 hour delayed schedule today, Friday, January 8, 2010 due to inclement weather.
Barely enough to say it snowed. That’s what fell last night across most portions of Nelson as a weak area of snow moved through the area. We got continual reports via our Nelson Mag Facebook page when the snow started, but no one reported any major snowfall.
The bigger story today into the weekend will be returning subfreezing temperatures combined with windy conditions.
By next week for the first time this year, temps will moderate significantly, nearing the mid and upper 40’s by late next week.
