Nelson County, Virginia
As we talked about earlier today yesterday, another storm system is on its way to Nelson and Central Virginia, but it appears this one won’t have the impact of last weekend’s storm. Though, we may see a few hours of icing once an area of rain begins moving in during the early morning hours Christmas Day.

A Winter Weather Advisory begins at 4AM Christmas morning, (scheduled to expire at 1PM) followed by a Flood Watch later in the afternoon Christmas Day.

Present thinking is this system will change over to plain rain fairly fast during Christmas Day, so currently a major icing event is not anticipated. But, as with any icing near the Blue Ridge, a degree or two can make all of the difference.

Continued updates Christmas Day over in Tommy’s Audio Weather, on our Facebook page, and on Twitter.
