Nellysford
Nelson County, Virginia
We first told you about Cheryl Tompkins fight against breast cancer back in our July 2009 issue of Nelson County Life Magazine. We are happy to report Cheryl has successfully completed all of her chemo a few days ago! We caught up with Cheryl at Stoney Creek Pharmacy last week where she was checking out the new cash register system just put in to make things easier for customers coming by. “It takes the flex spending cards and health savings accounts. People who previously couldn’t use those here, can now,” Cheryl proudly told us.
Though Cheryl now has radiation treatments to undergo, she has a positive outlook and is already redesigning the paint scheme for her motorcycle. She won’t be back in the store on a regular basis for some time to come, but will begin easing back into it as she recovers from her treatments.
If you see Cheryl, or want to post a comment here, wish her the best, she’s rounded a big corner in her journey!
Way to go Cheryl!
Way to go Cheryl -so much to be said for the human spirit and NELSON COUNTY COMMUNITY SUPPORT.

At times like these, a person needs a dog. Glad to see Scruffy with you.
