Don’t miss a foot stompin’ day of local music and wine!
Wine into summer surrounded by the majestic views of the Blue Ridge at Wintergreen Winery’s annual Memorial Weekend Celebration on Saturday, May 23rd and Sunday, May 24th from 10am until 6pm each day. Plan to stay awhile and take in the scenery with a picnic on the banks of the Rockfish River and enjoy live music on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from noon to 6pm. Saturday will feature Jan Smith and the Honeybirds who combine country, bluegrass, folk, and old-time rock and roll to create a band steeped in classic American music. Sunday’s guests will be treated to the folk/rock/country of HoboJac followed by the foot stomping bluegrass of The Mississippi Leg Hound. The $7 daily admission fee per adult (children are free) includes the wine tasting, live music, a souvenir wine glass, door prize drawings, use of the winery grounds and riverside picnic areas plus wine and gift shop specials. The event will be held rain or shine. Light picnic fare, wines and non-alcoholic beverages will be available to purchase to enjoy on winery grounds. Please note there will be no live music and no admission fee on Memorial Day (Monday). NOTE: NO ALCOHOL IS ALLOWED ON OUR WINERY GROUNDS EXCEPT WINTERGREEN WINERY WINES!
