After several days in a row with low gray clouds, rain, fog, and drizzle, skies will begin clearing this afternoon, with much better weather on Wednesday. Just before noon Tuesday local satellite showed the clouds starting to erode near Nelson County and along the Blue Ridge Parkway. As the day wears on, more sunshine will move in pushing temps to near 60 before dark.
