I-64 EB At The 89 MM

“Virginia State Police is investigating a crash with two fatalities that occurred this morning (July 22, 2025) at approximately 6:19 a.m. on Interstate 64 eastbound at the 89-mile-marker in Augusta County.
A truck, travelling eastbound, overcorrected and ran off of the right side of the interstate. The truck then went through the guardrail, struck a tree, and overturned on its side.
Both the driver and passenger in the truck died at the scene. Identification is pending.
The crash remains under investigation.
