LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT…
* WHAT…West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph
possible.
* WHERE…In Virginia, Western Highland and Eastern Highland
Counties, and Northern Virginia Blue Ridge. In West Virginia,
Western Grant, Eastern Grant, Western Mineral, Western
Pendleton and Eastern Pendleton Counties.
* WHEN…From Wednesday afternoon through late Wednesday night.
* IMPACTS…Damaging winds could blow down trees and power
lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The strongest winds will likely be across
the higher ridges, but strong winds could downslope into valley
locales as well.
