Route 29 Near Red Hill Road

At approximately 5:22 am, on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, units from Albemarle County Police Department and Albemarle County Fire Rescue were dispatched to a report of a two-vehicle crash on Route 29 near Red Hill Road.
Two individuals were declared deceased at the scene. The deceased victims’ identities are being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
The crash remains under investigation by the Albemarle County Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Team.
