Nelson County is getting closer to finalizing the Comprehensive Plan which is intended to serve as a guideline for the County’s decisions about transportation, housing and development, economic development, protecting our natural surroundings, etc.
Neighbors are concerned about the County’s plan to designate Nellysford as an Urban Development Area, or similar terminology. Survey results indicated significant opposition to further development in Nellysford (impacting everyone along 151 to the north) so we have invited our district’s Board of Supervisor representative, Ernie Reed, and Planning Commission representative, Robin Hauschner, to a forum where they can share their vision for our district in terms of development, and community members can ask questions and/or share their thoughts about the direction that the Comprehensive Plan is taking and the impact on our community.
