expected.

* WHERE…Portions of northwest North Carolina, southwest Virginia
and southeast West Virginia.

* WHEN…From 8 AM Saturday to 4 AM EDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS…Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Scattered power outages are likely. Widespread power outages
are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Expect several periods of high wind gusts
today and tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around
trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of
your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if
you must drive.

Be aware of where you are parking your vehicle and walking to
avoid damage or injury from falling trees limbs and branches.
