Blue Ridge Parkway

The Blue Ridge Parkway was shutdown for a few hours on Saturday night just after 7 PM as are emergency crews worked a vehicle accident that killed one person and left another injured.
According to a post from Wintergreen Fire & Rescue, “Upon arrival crews found a vehicle which had come to rest on its side, leaning against a tree. One patient was outside of the vehicle, and the second patient was inside.
One patient was transported to UVA via Rockfish Valley ambulance 57. The second patient unfortunately was pronounced dead on the scene.”
