…WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH
LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT…
* WHAT…For the Winter Weather Advisory, snow expected. Total
snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches above 3000 feet elevation.
For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy snow possible. Total snow
accumulations greater than 8 inches possible.
* WHERE…Eastern Highland County, and Central Virginia Blue
Ridge.
* WHEN…For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 3 PM EST this
afternoon. For the Winter Storm Watch, from Wednesday morning
through late Wednesday night.
* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions this morning. For
Wednesday and Wednesday night, travel could be very difficult.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
Slow down and use caution while traveling.
Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation.
When venturing outside, watch your first few steps taken on
steps, sidewalks, and driveways, which could be icy and slippery,
increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
