Virginia Distillery Company recently announced that its Visitors Center will be reopening Fridays-Sundays from 11:30 to 5:30 p.m. starting June 19 by advance reservation, in accordance with local and state reopening guidelines in Virginia.
Online reservations are recommended, and all seating, tastings and bottle sales will be conducted outside, while the Visitors Center building is still closed to the public. Reservations are $25 plus tax per person and includes a private table for your group of 2-6 people, three half ounce neat whisky samples and one full-sized cocktail.
Reservation blocks will be limited to one hour to ensure Virginia Distillery Company can stick to appropriate cleaning schedules, while allowing guests enough time to go through the tasting.
Virginia Distillery Company employees are required to wear masks and gloves at all times and ask that guests wear masks when away from their table. All further protocols and safety details can be found here.
“We look forward to safely welcoming our guests back on site,” said Virginia Distillery Company CEO, Gareth Moore. “I know I speak for the entire Virginia Distillery Company team when I say we’re all excited to resume tastings and formally introduce our newest whisky, our flagship American Single Malt whisky Courage & Conviction.”
Courage & Conviction, the distillery’s first American Single Malt in the “Courage & Conviction” product line, was released in April. The first batch is dedicated to the distillery’s late founder, Dr. George G. Moore.
Bottle curbside pick-up will also be available Fridays-Sundays from 11:30am-5:30 p.m. Customers can place pick-up orders through Virginia Distillery Company’s online store and select pick-up at checkout. More curbside pick-up details will then be sent via email confirmation.
