Over the past several days we’ve been showing you some pretty images from the mountains across the Blue Ridge. Freezing rain a few days back encased areas in the higher elevations leaving trees and buildings glistening in the sun. Tuesday afternoon the highest of elevations where temps never made it above freezing were still an ice castle backdrop.

We’ve got a few more chilly days ahead with the chance for some wintry precip toward the end of the week, but much milder temperatures with just plain rain awaits as we head into next week.
