…WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
TUESDAY MORNING…

* WHAT…Up to a tenth of an inch of freezing rain through Monday
morning, with the potential for a quarter inch or more of
freezing rain Monday night into Tuesday. Snow and sleet will
quickly change to freezing rain this evening. Freezing rain will
mix with and possibly even change to rain Monday morning and
afternoon. However, another round of freezing rain is expected
Monday night into Tuesday morning.

* WHERE…Northern and central Virginia Blue Ridge.

* WHEN…For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 10 AM EST
Monday. For the Winter Storm Watch, from Monday afternoon
through Tuesday morning.

eastern West Virginia.

…Mixed sleet and freezing rain tonight into early Monday…

.A developing storm system over the mid part of the country will
move northeast, rain overspreading much of the area by tonight.
Temperatures will be near freezing for some areas, and this will
likely result in several hours of freezing rain and sleet. Impact
to the Monday morning commute is probable where mixed
precipitation occurs. Mixed precipitation will end as a cold rain
by mid morning Monday.
