Nelson Farmers Market Manager, Tim Marsh has reached out to BRL to let us know that the Nelson Farmers Market tents were temporarily removed earlier this week out of caution for possible high winds over the weekend.
“Due to the rain and winds our area is projected to receive from the impacts of Hurricane Florence, the Board of Directors of the Nelson Farmers Market has decided to cancel the market for Saturday, Sep. 15th. The tents have been removed, as the field where the market is held may need to be utilized by emergency services. Hopefully, our area will not be impacted, but we would rather err on the side of safety,” NFM Market Manager Tim Marsh said.
Well keep you posted!
