The final touches are being put on the April 14th Rockfish River Elementary School Earth Day 5K and Family Fun Run. Blue Ridge Life Magazine is a sponsor and a participant in the race. This year’s race will be held on Saturday, April 14 at 8:30 AM – 12 PM.

5K Run/Walk
The 5K Race will start and finish at Rockfish River Elementary School, with parking and bathrooms available. This scenic out-and-back course begins at the school, heads down the drive, and turns right onto Chapel Hollow Road. The course slopes gradually uphill towards the Blue Ridge Mountains for the first 1.5miles, and then back down the same hill, until the final push, back up the school drive! This course can be described as moderate.
The Kid’s 1 mile run will start at the same location as the 5K run but will be on the school campus and not on Chapel Hollow Road.Ready to sign up? Go to
