We first broke the news of a fatal train / truck crash just outside of Crozet, Virginia to you in this post yesterday on Wednesday – January 31, 2018.

The NTSB investigation continued Thursday afternoon, after yesterday’s fatal wreck of a GOP-chartered Amtrak train and a trash truck. A wrecker was on the scene waiting to haul off the truck and the trailer. The crossing at Lanetown remained closed as of early afternoon Thursday.

No word yet on when it will reopen so motorists should expect a detour.
