Various squads including Wintergreen Fire & Rescue along with Montebello have responded and are working to get the cyclist up and out.
More details as we have them.
Could you please give an update? Many people are worried for this cyclist.
Right now we have nothing to update. He or she was transported by helicopter to UVA Med Center and that’s the last information we had. Tommy
The cyclist is awake and stable at UVA. He will undergo surgery to stabilize the fractures. I was riding with him and GREATLY appreciate the huge effort by Montebello fire; Wintergreen EMS and Pegasus.
Thanks for chiming in Mark. Appreciate the update!
Tommy— sure…..he is having surgery tomorrow— no release of his name until family consents….
Thanks Mark. And this was a bicyclist? Tommy
