Some scary moments for 4 passengers in a veered off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Southern Nelson County just south of Twenty Minute Cliff around milepost 22.

“Crews from Montebello Fire and Wintergreen Fire/Rescue responded to MP 21 for a vehicle over an embankment with 4 patients. Units assigned were Montebello 71, Wintergreen Squad 1, Engine 1, Medic 151, and Medic 29. Initially Wintergreen Tech Rescue Team was requested for possible rope assistance, however ropes were not needed. There were no life-threatening injuries,” Wintergreen Fire & Rescue Chief Curtis told BRL Sunday afternoon.
