After massive rains on Friday it will be much quieter over the weekend.

Our BRL Nature Foundation at Wintergreen WeatherNow Station recorded over 6″ of rain for the period. Our BRL-Maplebrook station recorded just under 4″.

Photo By Chas Morgan : Greenfield Road in Afton was covered by water Friday – May 5th 2017. It’s one of many that generally floods during heavy rains.

Schools in Amherst County were closed due to flooding and Albemarle County Schools were on a two hour delay.

The forecast calls for dry and cool to mild weather Sunday through Wednesday.
