Central Virginia Blue Ridge
Early in the afternoon Saturday some brief but pretty potent thunderstorms moved through the Central Virginia Blue Ridge area. Some of those storms prompted Severe Thunderstorm Warnings.

Here at Maple Brook Farm in Roseland we picked up just over 1″ of rain in about an hour Saturday afternoon – February 25, 2017. Click image to enlarge.
Our other stations, our flagship BRL-Trager Brothers Station at RVCC picked up right at 1/3″ of rain while our BRL-mountain station up at The Nature Foundation At Wintergreen picked up only .04″ of rain.
As the storms marched north and east, some damage was reported near the Eastern Shore and Maryland.
Look for a return to winter like temps overnight Saturday and Sunday before we get mild again next week!
