Blue Ridge Medical Center is hosting a First Responder Appreciation Day Feb 17th. The center will be offering tours along with games and other activities.
The goal is community involvement. A way to say thanks by writing cards and letters that we will be delivered to all of the rescue squads in Nelson and Amherst counties. Donations from local businesses are being accepted to to give out to first responders in a raffle. Many businesses have agreed to provide discounts to first responders on Feb 17th.
