Late Sunday evening area fire crews were on the scene battling a large brushfire on Eades Lane just north of Lovingston in Nelson County. This is the same road that Virginia Distillery Company is on. As of this post at 9:30 pm Sunday, that business is not in danger.

Multiple fire departments have been battling the blaze for several hours. A fight made increasingly difficult due to high winds and very dry conditions.

Several structures have been threatened by the fire. The fire has jumped a line, at least once, made to stop it from spreading.

More updates as we have them.
