Humpback Rocks
Augusta County, Virginia
BRL has confirmed this morning that a search was underway in the vicinity of Humpback Rocks off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. “We were called to assist early this morning, and as I understand it, this was a father and son that were hiking and went missing. A command post was been setup at the visitor’s center,” Wintergreen Fire & Rescue Chief Curtis Sheets told us this morning.

Shortly before BRL’s Yvette Stafford arrived at the scene Monday morning, the hikers had been found safe.
The pair had been missing since late Sunday when BRP Park police and other crews began organizing to start a search.
They had already been found by the time you posted this…
We had been posting on social media prior to them being located and all emergency officials we were dealing with had no knowledge of them being found as we were updating. Thanks for chiming in.
