For the second time in a month a major snowstorm hit the Central Virginia Blue Ridge dumping between 5″ to nearly a foot of snow in the mountains. The event started off as mainly rain Thursday morning, but as colder air worked in during the afternoon, it all turned to snow, making roads hazardous.

Route 151 northbound near Grave Grocery just south of Nellysford was a total whiteout just after noon Thursday - March 5, 2015.
